Admission Process: Three Year LL.B Programme

SLS, Pune has re-introduced the three-year LL.B. programme from 2014 which has received an overwhelming response. This three-year programme is designed to impart professional legal competence to students from diverse educational backgrounds.

The objectives of the programme are as follows:

a) To equip the students with legal knowledge of various legal spheres and skills to perform various roles of a legal professional beyond the traditional role of a litigator for linking their domain knowledge to legal profession.
b) To give them an edge over their competitors to lead so that the opportunities to shape social, public, and corporate enterprises, such as the state, community organizations and social enterprises, become justice sentinels and justice crusaders seek them out.
c) To provide hands on experience in legal knowledge, skills, ethics, and values so as to be able to work in a fast changing India set in a globalizing world by learning law in a profound way keeping with contemporary developments.
d) To build competence to find, identify, and interpret the law in a given situation.
e) To enhance knowledge and enable them to resolve the legal problems with the correct application of law.
f) To enable them to deploy IT skills and use the electronic resources to find the legal information.
g) To demonstrate cognitive skills, problem-solving skills, analytical and independent critical thinking with enhanced research capabilities by using different pedagogical methods and collaborative online international learning.
h) To help cultivate the ability to appreciate the role of lawyers in justice education in a globalizing world sensitive to the needs of sustainability, poverty, and vulnerability.
i) To acquaint them with the institutions of the legal systems encompassing national, regional, and international levels and multiple aspects of dispute resolution with intellectual integrity, critical thinking, and as practice-ready lawyers.

Eligibility:

Graduate from any recognised University or Institution of National Importance with a

minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled

This department organizes an Orientation program for all international students who have joined Symbiosis International University. The aim of the Orientation program was to acquaint students with the Symbiosis family, rules and regulations of the University, importance of legal procedures, medical facilities available, events and other miscellaneous matters of importance and interest for international students during their stay in India. This program provides for a platform for the International Students to get out of their comfort zone by participating in team building games and thereby provides an opportunity for the students get to know each other better.

Through this department, SCIE participates in various exhibitions held abroad. To name a few, it has participated in exhibitions held at Sri Lanka, Oman, Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.

Annually SCIE participates in GETEX, an exhibition organised by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research in the month of April in Dubai, UAE.

This department also maintains a regular contact with the Embassies of various countries in order to inform them about the various initiatives undertaken by Symbiosis International University.
