What’s new?

The MH CET Law 2024 registration has been extended till Apr 15 2024 for K.C Law College admission to 5-year LLB courses. Further, the MH CET Law 2024 exam for the 5-year LLB courses will be conducted on May 18, 2024.

LL.B. (3 years) Degree Course:

The College offers a 3-year degree course. The course consists of six semesters per year. On the successful completion of the 3-year course, the student is eligible for the LL.B. degree awarded by the University of Mumbai. If a student desires to pursue the study of law for the sake of pure knowledge but does not wish to practice as an advocate, he is eligible for the LL.B. (General) Degree at the end of the 2nd year of 3-year LL.B Course.

Eligibility for Admission to the First Year:

A candidate passing the MH-CET examination and the Graduation Examination of the Mumbai University, in any faculty with minimum 45% marks or a corresponding degree examination of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by Mumbai University with the minimum prescribed marks is eligible for admission to the First Year LL.B

KC Law College Mumbai LL.B. Admission 2024

Admission to LL.B. program of KC Law College is based on score in MH-CET Law conducted by DTE, Maharashtra.

The minimum qualification to apply for this program is a pass in graduation with 45% marks and 50 marks out of 150 for general category and 40 for reserved category candidates.

KC Law College Mumbai Application Process 2024

KC Law College invites offline application forms to apply for LL.B. program. The admission process is as follows:

  • Prospectus and application forms can be obtained from the college office after the payment of prescribed fee.
  • Candidates should submit the form at the office within the prescribed time.
  • The merit list of selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board of the College.
  • Selected students may seek admission within a prescribed time-limit as notified by the Institute.
  • After the admission is granted, admission fees must be paid through DD in favor of ‘Principal K.C. Law College’ payable at Mumbai.

Following original and self-attested photocopies of documents are necessary to be brought for verification:

  1. MH-CET Law score card
  2. 10th /12th Mark sheets
  3. Graduation DMCs with passing certificate
  4. Date of Birth certificate
  5. Reserved Category certificate
  6. Aadhar Card
  7. Migration certificate

KC Law College Scholarships

Library Services

  1. Reading: The library provides Reading room facility to the students and faculty.
  2. Lending: The Lending section has prescribed textbooks and related material which is issued to students for a period of ten days at a time. Teachers can also avail of the lending facility and there is no limit to the number of books that can be borrowed by teachers. 3. Special Lending: The library goes out of the way and lends multiple books to students at a time in special cases or in case of students participating in various competitions outside college.
  3. Special Information service: Assistance in locating relevant material for students participating in Inter-collegiate, national or international competitions.
  4. Reference service is provided to faculty and to students doing research for various competitions like the Moot Court, Client Counselling, Debates, etc.
  5. Current Awareness Service: Newspaper clippings of law related news are displayed on the notice board on a weekly basis and also are filed subject wise for reference.
  6. Electronic resources: The library has acquired three legal databases namely AIR, Manupatra and EBC Reader e-Library. Together they provide computerized access to Supreme Court reports from 1950 and High Court reports from 1965 up to the latest judgments along with Privy Council cases from 1930 to 1950 and e-books. The Library also subscribes to the N-List database provided by INFLIBNET which is a collection of e-books and e-journals.
  7. Internet: Students and teachers are provided with free Internet access for academic purposes. The library also has a blog at www.library kclaw.blogspot.com where all library related issues are discussed and library activities are published from time to time.
  8. Computerized catalogue: Catalogue search facility through Intranet. Catalogue is computerized using SLIM software.
  9. Book Bank facility to students of reserved categories and other needy students.

During Lockdown, following new / modified services were provided:

  1. Digital Library Website developed as a one-point access to the free and subscribed legal e-resources
  2. Remote access to legal databases by sharing passwords on demand
  3. Information service through e-mail
  4. Online sessions on awareness and use of free legal resources were conducted for students and teachers
  5. E-content created by college teachers was made accessible to students through the library section of the college website
