Established in 1978, Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College Pune is affiliated to Bharati Vidyapeeth University Pune and is approved by Bar Council of India. The courses offered by Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune are LL.B. integrated courses like B.A. LLB and BBA LL.B. two-year and one-year LLM program, and Ph.D in Law. At present, the College offers UG, PG, doctorate and diploma programmes in several specialisations of Law.

The courses offered by the College are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The College also arranges moot court competitions for its UG and PG students.There are numerous groups for academic and extracurricular activities at the campus. New Law College, Pune, also known as Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, is a constituent college of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) Pune. New Law College, Pune Admission 2023

At the UG level, the College offers two five-year integrated programmes, namely BA LLB and BBA LLB. The seat intake of BA LLB is 120 students, whereas BBA LLB has an intake of 180 students. The duration of both the programmes is divided into ten semesters. Admission to both the programmes is entrance-based, and candidates are selected based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam. However, for practising law in India, candidates are required to clear the All India Bar Exam (AIBE) that is conducted by BCI. On clearing the AIBE exam, lawyers are awarded a ‘Certificate of Practice’ which is mandatory for practising the profession as an advocate in India.

Admission Procedure

Candidates must apply and appear for the All India Law Entrance Test which is held by Bharati Vidyapeeth, a Deemed to be University, for law-related courses.
Based on the results of the admission exam, a merit list is created.
Following that, candidates are shortlisted based on the university’s merit list.
Shortlisted candidates are required to participate in counselling which is followed by an offline seat allocation process.
Final admission is determined by merit list rank, participation in the counseling process, seat assignment, document verification, and payment of fees.

Eligibility for BBA LLB

As per Bar Council of India, Rules of Legal Education 2008, the applicant shall have passed 12th or an examination recognized as equivalent there to and have obtained 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC & ST applicant.

Boys Hostel – The College offers a boy’s hostel that provides hostel accommodations for students.
